Job Description: Junior Model-Based Systems Engineer
Job Opening Contingent Upon Contract Award
OAR is seeking candidates to perform model-based systems engineering tasks which span the entire life-cycle of a model-based system from requirements generation, through system and software model development to auto-code generation using state of the art systems engineering and software development modeling tools. The position also requires the candidate to work with a highly diverse and integrated team of engineers and modeling specialists in the design, development, and implementation of a variety of defense system’s architectures, functional and software models, and to assist in the presentation of these artifacts to the end customer.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a minimum experience level based on degree: BS + 3 years; MS + 0 years. At least one (1) year of experience must be in performing model-based system engineering or software development activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience capturing capabilities, performing requirements definition, performing analysis to allocate capabilities and functionalities to requirements, and performing decomposition into system components.
DESIRED SKILLS: Model-based system design experience with state of the art tools. Experience with SysML, UML, UPDM, and other modeling languages. Experience with modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, Rhapsody System and/or Software editions, MATLAB, or SIMULINK. Knowledge and experience with Harmony Deskbook processes. A working understanding of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or other applicable science field.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be a US citizen and currently hold or be able to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance.
