On-Line Applications research Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer with a BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline and 5-9 yrs. experience.
Candidate will serve as part of a team providing software development oversite and open systems expertise to the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) and various Project Offices in PEO Aviation located on Redstone Arsenal.
Experience in the design, development, and testing of software packages is desired. Candidates must be proficient with C++ (C++11 and C++14 a plus) and object oriented design. Expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems is required; experience with embedded systems, network programming, and symmetric multi-processing/multi-threading is a plus. Experience with Aviation systems and their cockpit displays is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 (or later), Linux IDEs (such as Qt Creator) and software control suites such as Git, CMake, XML and Qt Toolkit is desired. Experience with service oriented architectures and software prototyping is desired. Familiarity or experience with VMware, Data Distribution Service (DDS), hardware emulation and an understanding of real-time programming techniques is desired.
Qualified applicants will have good programming skills, be able to work independently, and take a proactive role to assure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule.
The candidate must be able to work within a collaborative team environment composed of Government and Contractor. Candidate will have excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Position requires that candidate be a U.S. citizen. Candidate must currently hold a U.S. DoD Secret Security clearance or meet requirements to obtain and hold this clearance during their employment.
